They say the
shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line. However, when does life take us from one
point to another in a straight line?

When the road
gets long we tend to ask why, question ourselves, blame others, complain, get
angry, and find many other ways to basically say we want the straight line, the
shortest distance, the path of least resistance.
Life – in
all it’s mystery – responds with detours, valleys, curves, plateaus and luckily mountain top experiences too. With each long round
about route we take, we stretch and grow becoming more of the person God
intends us to be.
In the Talmud
we read that “Each blade of grass has an angel that bends over it and whispers,
“grow.”
Our angels are
with us on our circuitous journeys as well whispering to us ..."grow! grow!"
